After a couple of meetings with Honorable Mayor Kudo Kabua and several key members of the Wōtto council and traditional leaders, the extension team visited the community to provide knowledge-based and project-based training projects in the following areas: Organic composting, introduction of cassava, salt-tolerant sweet potato, tissue cultured tropical pineapples, hybrid breeding techniques of various clams for replenishment and food security along with conservation strategies and efforts, health screening, diabetes/hypertension prevention and control, nutrition, food safety, and healthy local food demonstrations.
