Last week Thursday, July 29, 2021 two Taiwan citizens Hung-Ping Liu and Ian Yiwu Lin with one Marshallese Stephen Nemna completed CMI-MVTC’s Standard of Training, Certification and Watch-Keeping for Seafarers (STCW-10). The three students paid their own way of $378.00 for their training. Mr. Liu and Lin work for Taiwan Fishery Agency and Uliga Shipping. While Mr. Nemna works for Marshall Islands Shipping. The training will be very useful as they can help co-workers and others at sea or land-based work at the docks. These gentlemen can also help at their homes and the communities where they reside. CMI – MVTC encourages others working on ships and docks to take the training as it is very important “safety wise”.
