FAFSA Deadline: April 13, 2018
We are pleased to inform you that 2018-19 FAFSA have been available since October 1st, 2017. Student (s) who have not filed their FAFSA can now do so. All students are required to renew his/her FAFSA for 2018-19. Remember FAFSA is not automatic from one school year to another. Starting this year, students will no longer be using the paper FAFSA. All CMI students will require to use the online FAFSA @ www.fafsa.gov.
Prior to filling-out your online FAFSA you will need to do the following;
- If you did not file online FAFSA before, and not sure about your pseudo Social Security you can request your number with Financial Aid Office.
- Complete, print, sign and submit to Financial Aid Office forms (CMI Application and Household Verification). Both forms are fillable.
- Valid copy of Your photo ID (State ID/Driver’s License/Passport)
- Student’s/Spouse’s (if married) – Annual Income Statement if employed in 2016
- Parent (S) Annual Income Statements- if both are working need to provide for both parents if worked in 2016. – Students who are 24 years older and above are not required to provide parent (s) information.
Workshops for filing the online FAFSA will be conducted every week starting from March 26th, until last week of June, before June 30th deadline. See attachment for schedule of the workshops and labs that each workshop will be held in. Every week we will send out update schedules. Make sure you check your email daily. Remember, you are responsible for your own time and can always come in during these set schedules.
However, if you are planning to early register for summer and fall semester, you must submit your FAFSA online before/on April 13th, 2018.
