Science Level 4

Introduces the fundamentals of physics and chemistry that includes evolution, energy, work, motion and forces and chemical properties.

SLOs – Upon completion of this course, the student will able to:

• Explain the genetic code and interpret the inherited traits (ABE Knowledge and meaning of scientific theories)
• Explain the process of natural selection and how life changes over time (ABE Knowledge and meaning of scientific theories)
• Describe energy, waves, electricity, sources of energy and endothermic and exothermic reactions (ABE Knowledge and meaning of scientific theories)
• Demonstrate Newton’s laws of motion, forces and simple machines (ABE Knowledge and meaning of scientific theories)
