Message from the President

Last Academic Year CMI was pleased to register more than 1,000 students into our programs and courses. Whether you are a new or returning student, I am pleased you have also decided to explore the CMI catalog and hope that, as you browse through, you will discover programs and courses that capture your particular interest and ambition for a future career.

CMI will celebrate its 30th year in 2023. For three decades’ students have enrolled at CMI to begin their higher education journey. Whether our graduates serve as teachers and nurses or work in the public and private sector, they are equipped with useful knowledge and skills to serve in their various capacities. Many CMI graduates have transferred into four-year programs and, advancing beyond their baccalaureate to graduate school: they have become one of our growing number of alumni who are distinguished for their achievements and service to both the Marshall Islands and other communities where they now reside.

The 2022-2023 catalog presents new and innovative additions to the CMI curriculum including an expanded program for Nursing students. You will also discover new courses leading to an AS in Agricultural Education for Health and Sustainable Livelihoods. Two new vocational Certificate programs – in Construction Trades and Automotive – are available at our Kwajalein

Campus. Looking forward to the spring, CMI will launch two new programs in Maritime Deck Technology and Maritime Engineering.

As CMI Navigators, we encourage you see both the beginning of your journey and its end, as one. By reading through the catalog and focusing attention on what you need to know to reach your destination, you can be sure that you are on your way to success and will have the information you require for the completion of your chosen Diploma.

Please also visit our website, www.cmi.edu, to seek out even more information about CMI’s programs and services. We also encourage you to ask questions and seek the advice you need from our trained academic counselors.

Once you begin navigating your journey with CMI you will find yourself a member of a lively campus community with administrators, faculty, staff and student leaders all committed to improving the quality your higher education experience, to your individual success as a student and to the achievement of well-being all who study and work at CMI.
