Unit Mission Statement

The mission of the CMI IT Department is to provide the highest quality information technology solutions, in the most cost-effective manner, to facilitate the College mission as it applies to the management, teaching, learning, and community service. The ITD is committed to achieving its mission through:

  • Providing consistent technical support to customers by understanding their needs and responding promptly with innovative solutions.
  • Providing Initiatives and leadership in transitioning the college to green IT.
  • Providing technology of the utmost quality, stability, and reliability for the College.
  • Promoting a proactive workplace where IT staff offers opportunities for continuous improvement of technical skills that will lead to outstanding customer service support for the college.
  • Continuously providing Information Technology training programs that will produce more homegrown Information Technology personnel for the college and to the community.

Information Technology Services

The Information Technology Department provides proactive services to CMI Community as well as supporting technical support to instructors and every employee of the College. The four sections of the IT Department offers a wide-range of services and support as details, below.

  • Help Desk Ticketing System is always available to employees and students of the College by submitting a ticket to Helpdesk. The Helpdesk ticket provides service request or request for assistance in computer laboratories, technology equipped classrooms, student email/login accounts issue, computer repair, Software Applications, Operating system support and much more.
  • IT Department follows the standard specification based on the recent technology available in the Market. The specification is evaluated and revised annually to ensure that the College computing hardware is up-to-date. (Link for standard specification form)
  • Provide well-maintained computing environment for employees and students of the College.
  • Providing application development and system integration
  • Support teaching and learning through the use of instructional technology
  • Maintained CMI Website and Create web-based services that support student and faculty access to learning resources and support the professional development of faculty.
  • Ensure CMI network infrastructure and systems are updated and operational to support the technology needs of students, faculty, and staff
  • Ensure necessary replacement of hardware and licenses are regularly updated
  • Develop a comprehensive IT Mast Plan
  • Performed maintenance tasks required to maintain the long-term functionality of all IT related needs
