Submitting your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the first step. You need to be a citizen of the United States (U.S), Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), and Republic of Palau (PW) in order to be eligible for Title IV (PELL grant) funds.
Types of Financial Aid
- Federal Pell grant (U.S. Title IV fund): Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, awarded to students who have not achieved their Bachelor degree.
- Scholarships: We help students apply for RMI Scholarship, FSM National and States Scholarships, and others.
- CMI work study (CWS): Students receive pay from CMI to help them with educational expenses.
- CMI Employee tuition waiver: Dependents of CMI employees are eligible for tuition waiver if Pell grant funds do not cover all tuitions and fees.
- Veterans’ benefits (G.I. Bill): We also help veterans by certifying their enrollment at CMI to receive veterans benefits.
You MUST maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
