SCI 050 - Science Level 5
Introduces students to fundamentals of earth and space science that provides an overview of geology, oceanography and meteorology.
SLOs – Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify the different chemical properties of matter, atoms, compounds and molecules, chemical reactions, solutions, organic chemistry and chemical equations. (ABE Knowledge and meaning of scientific theories)
- Describe the cycles of matter and the formation of fossil fuels (ABE Knowledge and meaning of scientific theories)
- Define geology, oceanography and meteorology (ABE Knowledge and meaning of scientific theories)
- Examine the origins of the universe, the Milky Way, the solar system, and Earth and the Moon (ABE Knowledge and meaning of scientific theories)
