Research and Planning at CMI consists of four main components: Institutional Research, Database Administration, Information Technology, and Grants Coordination. Each component serves the college community in a unique way, concentrating on area-specific projects while also collaborating with other college offices on larger endeavors.
Database Administration, Information Technology, and Grants Coordination mainly play “behind the scenes” roles in supporting other college areas’ efforts, while the Institutional Research Office produces most of the official data reports for the college.
The Institutional Research Office serves many of the information needs of College of the Marshall Islands. The office seeks to provide a wide variety of data and information to college administrators, faculty, and staff for use in decision-making, assessment, policy analysis, and planning.
The Institutional Research Office conducts its work in a way which encourages people to learn. This learning environment empowers members of the campus community to fulfill all aspects of the college’s mission.
