Thank you for your interest in supporting the College of the Marshall Islands. The College of the Marshall Islands (CMI) provides high quality, affordable education to the community in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) and its surrounding Pacific neighbors--making the College one of the RMI’s greatest assets.
The charitable support structure established to promote CMI's mission is dedicated to the development of financial resources for CMI so that the college may support its students and its greater community. Your donations to one of the two primary non-profit entities that exist to support CMI, or an outright donation directly to CMI, are critical to the success and growth of the college. CMI's primary U.S. IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit support structure consists of two organizations: the Friends of the College of the Marshall Islands (U.S. Federal Tax Identification number 26-2218149) and the College of the Marshall Islands Foundation (U.S. Federal Tax Identification number 26-2218226).
The focus of the Friends of the College of the Marshall Islands (FCMI) is to raise funds and provide grants to support CMI programs and its students. The focus of the College of the Marshall Islands Foundation (CMIF) is endowment building. CMI's charitable support structure is guided by five goals: Excellence, Access, Vitality, Involvement, and Capital.
Excellence
Recognize and encourage academic excellence at CMI, and provide financial support to academically talented students.
Access
Help provide a CMI education to all qualified students regardless of their ability to afford a college education.
Vitality
Promote economic vitality and private sector growth in the RMI.
Involvement
Provide opportunities for involvement at CMI and in the community.
Capital
Provide capital resources that foster superior education and service to students.
