The Leto Letak Melele series, sponsored by the Center for Marshallese Studies, brings together panels of local experts from the academic, governmental and non-governmental sectors to discuss issues of public importance to the broader Marshallese community in a nonpartisan environment. Series talks are held primarily in Marshallese and broadcast on the national radio station. In its inaugural season, the Leto Letak Melele series focused on issues of seal level rise and global climate change, as well as the future of the RMI and US relationship after the termination of funding in the current Compact of Free Association in 2023.
